Hi! My name is Ms. Smith, and I am a 4th grade teacher
at Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary. I am writing this to tell
you a little more about me.
First, I have been teaching for 8 years (the 2011-12
year will be my 9th year), and I have spent every single
year teaching 4th graders. My first 5 years were spent
at London Elementary, and then I moved to Wyan-Pine when
the school first opened 4 years ago. I love 4th
graders because they are so smart and capable! We will
learn lots of new things this year!
I will be 31 by the time school starts this year. My
birthday is right at the end of July. I have lived right
here in Laurel County for all 31 of my years, and went
to Laurel County Schools myself. I was a Bush Blue
Devil, a North Laurel Middle Bobcat, and a North Laurel
High School Jaguar. I still have love for the South
Laurel Cardinals, and especially the Wyan-Pine Grove
Comets though! Once I graduated from high school, I went
on to college at EKU and I also obtained my Master's
Degree from Eastern. I am currently completing the
National Board Certification Process to become a Rank I
teacher. I think it is important to always keep
learning!
I have one super-sweet baby girl, named AnnaBella. I
call her Bell or Bella for short, and I'm sure that if
you're in my class you'll get to hear one or two stories
about her! Bell is a little over a year old, and she is
constantly on-the-go!!!
In conclusion, I really can't wait to meet you and I
know that I will enjoy having you in my class this year!
